Hey Adam,
Gordon Blackley from your british 600 days here, I just bought the adventure motorcycling book, saw this short ugly bloke in there who looked a little familier :) Then found this site from that, it must be an ex racer thing this adventure thing, I bought an 1150gs after my BSB days and have just ridden to cartegena and back taking in the Pyranees in December, snaow almost all the way there and back! I thought that I was hardcore untill I started to read what you're up to, fair play to you for having the balls to do it, I would love to do the same but work/family stops play so europe is about it for now.
I'm on facebook if you ever go on there, if you fancy a look at my weak photos of my last trip. Hope to catch up soon, happy travelling and keep safe.

PS I had a chuckle at you and the 2 Argentine cops.
And I thought how different your encounter with the 3 female park rangers could have went? But perhaps that's just 20yrs of marrage for you, ha ha.
In regards to our human time as compared with the Earth, perhaps as Siddartha Gotama suggests, we have always been here, only the self dies. Who can say?
PPS. A man is cupping his hand to scoop water from a Scottish highland pond.
A game keeper shout's, `dinnae drink tha waater! Et's foo ae coo's shite an pish!'
The man replies,`My good fellow I'm from England.Could you repeat that in english for me.
The game keeper replies,
`I said, use two hands, you spill less that way.'
That language problem is a bummer eh?

Adam ya wee dancer,
what can I say mate, respect. I've just finnished reading your blog. Your attention to detail does you credit. You seem to know exactly where you want to go.
Some of those mountian passes look real scary, and some of the bush camps look brilliant, especially the one overlooking the lake.
Thanks for going to the trouble to respond to my questions, your advice makes sense. It seems most of the hassle involves the bike. So my head agrees but my heart says would'nt it be great to do it on my own bike. I have'nt made my departure date due to the GFC making a big hole in the budget but hope to get away soon before it gets too hot.
I'll make the decision on the bike when I get to Darwin.
Your an inspiration mate, all the best.

Hi Adam,

well, it seems you've realy got your website profilled now. Good reading, amazing pictures and WOW, what a adventure SA seems to be. My toes are itching very much to go that way now!

How was it the see Maarten and Tip again in Bolivia? Did Maarten seem to be more happy as in Thailand? We seen some pictures of their house, this seemed realy nice!

We are fine, busy with lots of things, mostly fun. The summer here gave us great weather, lots of sun and times being outside. Surely we will need to prepare for a few months of winter now, but this will also change..........
Little Lilou is growing up to quickly, she's smarter as good for her, as she is able to figure things out in her head, but is not fully capable of doing it with her hands (like eating her morning oats). But what a spirit! truly amazing to have her around us now.

We hope life keeps treating you well, it sounds the Beamer gives you to much trouble, but as I believe, it is better to travel slowly.................. (-; (or buy an Africa Twin! although this German couple had some heap of stuff packed o their bike)

Not sure if you already know about Couchsurfing, but check out the website and become a member. Take your time to create a profile and surely you get lots of chances to meet new 'friends' moving on towards USA&Canada. (also in any other country of the world) you can find our profile on Couchsurfing: "onsplekkie" (offcourse). If you have any questions just ask!

Big thumbs up! We love you........................
See you out there, big kiss and hug from Holland

Hi Adam, Sounds like you are having a great time.
Not much changes here. I often think of you and wonder what you are up to when I drive past your house. Your brick wall still looks good!
Maggie and I were talking about you only the other day wondering what on earth you will do when you eventually reach your final destination. Will it be back to Stannah? Will you be able to settle after all this time on the road? How on earth will you get your buzzes when every day has been an adventure.
Thanks for the update, as usual a great read.

I have just read the 19th chapter, nice ride at Paso de Sico, Paso San Francisco, etc. It´s a pity you have had in trouble for many times to go to the SW Bolivia, but anyway you have ridden breathtaking landscapes.
By the way it was very funny about your spanish classes.
Travel by overland is great!!!
Have a nice ride,
Reginaldo.
